In our latest webinar, Joe Morris and Chris LaPage provided an in-depth look at the comprehensive grant database within Industry Navigator. This feature includes a wide array of grants (federal, state, local and corporate) and offers vital information such as eligibility criteria, funding history, deadline information, funder type and more.

The team also discussed why leveraging grants is useful for government and education sellers:

  • Fund Strategic Initiatives: Grants enable your clients to secure funding that not only aligns with their strategic priorities, but also fits their needs and budget.
  • Targeted Communications: Grants reveal what projects are being funded, their funding source and where priorities lie in the government and education sectors. This gives sales and marketing the clarity to know where to target their outreach.
  • Customized RFPs: By identifying eligible grants for your government and education clients, it can turn into RFPs tailored towards your solutions, enhancing your competitive edge.

During the session, Chris highlighted the top ten government and education-based grants that are currently drawing significant attention, including:

  • State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP): This is a cybersecurity grant program specifically for states and localities. Total funding for this project is $375 million. The deadline varies by state, but we will see more rounds of this program through the end of September 2026.
  • Building Pathways to Infrastructure Jobs Program: In the higher education space, with funding from the Infrastructure Act, this program focuses on training and career pathways. The projected deadline is July 2024, with total funding of $106 million.
